Two of my favourite movie moments;
The first is in 'Goodfellas' - the camera is on a gangster and his wife, both murdered,in their car.The music is the outro to 'Layla' by Derek and the Dominos.Dont know why,but but this scene moves me.
Second is in the film 'Mulholland Drive' by David Lynch. It's the 'Club Silencio' sequence featuring Rebecah del Rio.Her voice is stunning, and I always get  choked-up when I watch this bit.Check it out on YouTube.

I noticed that too! I've been trawling old posts lately and finding some interesting stuff. Wish I'd joined back then!

Fell asleep in the movie first time I went! Woke up just in time for that scene, which was pretty good I must admit.
One of my fave moments in a war movie is when the guns blow up in 'Guns of Naverone'. Have it on DVD and regualy watch it.

Well, for me, the goal scored in this film by Bobby Moore is also worth a mention..

Some more Movie Moments then -

The Outlaw Josey Wales: The bit when the bounty hunter walks into the saloon.. the dialogue goes something like:
- I'm looking for Josey Wales.
- That'd be me.
- You're wanted Wales.
- I reckon I'm right popular, you a bounty hunter?
- A man's gotta do something for a living.
- Dying ain't much of a living boy, you know this isn't necessary, you could just ride on.

The bounty hunter then leaves. A moment later he returns..

- I had to come back.
- I know.

The bounty hunter draws his gun, but Josey Wales is too fast & shoots him.

This film is full of great moments, the above scene is excellent.

An American Werewolf in London

The Werewolf Change Scene

The bit where his face elongates from human into wolf-shape is just about the best 'Non-Computer-Generated' special effect in any film ever.

It's way better than any other similar sequence in a film. The growls & cracking of the bones in his face as it goes animally, add loads more to the scene.

The Thing

The scene where the doctor is using a defibrilator on the large guy. The shouts "Clear!", then pushes the defibrilators onto his chest. The chest OPENS UP WITH LARGE TEETH, THEN BITES THE DOCTORS ARMS OFF!!.

As if that's not bad enough, the large guy's head, slides off onto the floor, sprouts legs and goes off wandering around the room, to which one of the crew says "You've gotta be f-ing kidding!?!".

Ooh - two more.

Gosford Park when Ryan Phillippe as the pretend butler asks Kristin Scott Thomas (widowed earlier that day) if she'd like some company and she says, sounding really quite bored, "Oh well, life must go on, I suppose" and invites him to join her in bed.

A View To A Kill - when Christopher Walken as Zorin explains to Daniel Benzali as the Mayor how he's going to frame Bond for the Mayor's murder, and Benzali says, "But in that case, I'd have to be...." and Walken says "Dead!" - and shoots him.

Plus any bit in a Chow Yun-Fat film, or in Desperado when it's Antonio Banderas, where he slides out from under a table, guns firing upwards.
