OK, Shameless plug time...

Since the end of last year I've been playing with a new band called Bateleurs

We have a MySpace site with a bit of info on who we are, a few forthcoming live dates, pics and even a few home demos.

We're going into the studio end of April to record a proper 3 song EP but in the meantime if you have a spare 10 mins you can check us out at:

www.myspace.com/bateleurs

Very nice. Smiley

I've just listened to 3 of your tracks and I'm very impressed.  It's late or I would have listened to them all.  My overall impression is that you sound a lot more settled with this new band and your vocals are more assured.

For anyone else reading this thread I have been fortunate enough to have heard some of Willos' earlier work and this latest venture is the most accomplished yet.  I don't want to give the impression that Bateleurs are a one man band, they aren't.  I'm simply saying that Willo sounds very comfortable in the surroundings of this particular group.

It seems "The Storyteller" still has a few tales to tell.

I'm not the most musically inclined of the Sausagenetters but have really enjoyed the two tracks that I've listened to being Rainy Days and Permanent Winter.

It's great to see someone you know doing what they love  Smiley

PS - tried to vote on facebook but I kept getting a message saying that there was a problem with the application  Undecided

Thanks Guys,

I'm working with another 'singer/songwriter' called Sean Amor in this band and it's nice to share the workload, for want of a better word.
I was never comfortable being a frontman as such.

The songs that I've written that are currently on the MySpace site are Hello Girl, Rainy Days, Girl With Cartoon Eyes and also main vocal on the Crowded House cover Four Seasons In One Day.
They're all essentially home demos though we've a weekend studio session booked in April to record a new 3 song EP including the first new Amor/Ball penned song New Day Rising ,whose title sums up my approach to this new band  Smiley
We even a few decent gigs lined up over the coming months so I'll have my usual bouts of stagefright to contend with!  Shocked

Will post some links and even send out a few CDs to anyone interested once we have a finished product.
In the meantime thanks for the interest and support...

Not sure why the song vote app wasn't working Bear, will have to check that.

That's now the 3rd comparison I've had with Cat Stevens!
I do quite like him myself so hopefully that's a good thing.

Just hope I don't bump into Salman Rushdie  Tongue

Hi All,

OK, shameless plug time but pleeeeasse read on...

My band, Bateleurs have just released our debut EP, New Day Rising.

This is available either in CD format or as a download.

We would Greatly appreciate the support of all you Sausagenetters in getting this off the ground!

You can download directly from Amazon here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Day-Rising-EP/dp/B003M597L8

Or you can order the CD (or follow links to download) from our official website at:
http://www.bateleurs.co.uk

If enough people purchase/download we might even get a chart position!

One last thing, If you do have an Amazon account you can also rate or leave reviews which would be great (assuming you like it LOL)

Anyone, Thanking you all in advance. This REALLY means a lot to me...

It's a bit of luck I'd just downloaded the Bat for Lashes album, otherwise you'd have been between The Beatles and The Backstreet Boys  Embarrassed
